CERTIFICATION
An explosion protection valve protects human life. To meet this challenge, the supplier works to strict quality guidelines and their products are certified by notified bodies. VENTEX® valves are certified by ATEX 2014/34/EU and tested according to the standard EN 15089.
COMPOSITION.
The VENTEX valve is a passive system which means there is no need for external systems such as detection systems and control panels. It allows for flexible design as a result of dual flow direction capabilities thanks to the dynamic design, providing an explosion protection solution for a variety of processing applications. The VENTEX valve is approved for use with applications processing both organic and metallic dusts, hybrid mixtures and gases.
Maintenance of the VENTEX valve comes with minimum expense, and a variety of spares packages that can be held on site in case of an explosion, to get your process back up and running as quick as possible with minimal downtime.
Installation of the VENTEX valve is versatile, given that the isolation valve can be installed both in a horizontal orientation and vertically.
FUNCTIONALITY.
When idle, in other words without an air flow, the closing device is in the open position. During normal operation, the medium flows around the open closing device. In case of an explosion, the pressure wave pushes the closing device against the closing device seal. The valve is locked in this closed state, preventing the spread of flames and pressure waves.
VENTEX ESI-E/-D valves are thus suitable for explosion protection in both directions for flexible design on a variety of application types.
