DIVEX FLAME DIVERTER.

FUNCTIONALITY.
DivEx is an accessory to the VENT PRO explosion venting devices. The DivEx limits the opening angle of the explosion panel, directing the explosion pressure wave and flame to the desired safe area. The device reduces the danger zone around the explosion vent panel and increases the usable operating space. The DivEx is automatically activated in the event of an explosion as the vent panel bursts.

COMPOSITION.
The DivEx is made entirely of stainless steel components and comprises of 2 sidewalls and one faceplate with threaded rods, connected by 8 washers and 8 nuts. The faceplate connects and strengthens the threaded rods, whilst the threaded rods link to the two sidewalls of the device.
FLEXIBILITY.
The DivEx enables installations where venting to a safe area were previously not achievable. In applications where there are surrounding equipment or production areas, venting alone is not possible as the vent panel will burst open causing pressure, flame and fumes. Until now, in these cases where a safety hazard is caused by explosion venting alone, flameless venting would be the next viable solution. However, with the DivEx installed per the manufacturer’s instruction and correctly following the user manual, now simply using explosion venting partnered with a DivEx is an option.
